As of May 26, 2020
To ensure the safety of our patients, our staff, and the doctors, we have instituted the following measures:
- Our office communicates with patients before the scheduled appointment to ask some screening questions; those same questions will be asked again when in the office.
- We request patients arrive and enter the office wearing a mask covering their nose and mouth and will ask to use hand sanitizer before and after the appointment.
- Upon arrival, we will take patients’ temperature at every appointment to ensure the absence of fever, and everyone will be screened with a short recent health history inquiry.
- We operate at reduced capacity to ensure adequate social distancing and time to disinfect the office between each patient.
Respecting the standard of social distancing, we require patients be at least 6 feet apart during check in / check out and while in the waiting room. We ask that all patients come to their appointments alone; only caretakers or a minor patient’s parent are permitted to accompany patients into our office. Our reception room will no longer have magazines, as such items are difficult to clean and disinfect. With a limited size reception room, some may be asked to wait outside until called. We have placed plexiglass barriers in the front office windows. We have also installed HEPA Air Purifiers in each of our operatories, to further promote a clean working environment. We clean and disinfect environmental surfaces after each patient visit. We follow strict PPE guidelines, as well as hand and respiratory hygiene.
We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, our staff, and all our patients safe in our practice. Stay healthy and safe!
